Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford have agreed to contest the undisputed welterweight championship at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The news is certain to enthrall boxing fans worldwide and make tickets for the much-anticipated fight heavily in demand.

The rivals are said to have decided to face each other after realising there were no excuses for their bout not to finally come to fruition, having watched the recent meetings between Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney and Vasiliy Lomachenko.

Spence vs. Crawford date

The contest to become the first fully unified welterweight champion of the four-belt era in boxing is said to be taking place on July 29, 2023.

A proposed fight in November 2022 previously fell through. Crawford retained his WBO title by knocking out David Avanesyan in December, while Spence has not fought since beating Yordenis Ugas in April 2022.

Spence vs. Crawford: How much are ticket prices?

Ticket prices are yet to be announced for Crawford vs. Spence, which could be the first of two fights between the men because of a reported two-way rematch clause in the fight contract.

For Davis against Garcia, tickets started at $729 and then ranged through $800, $900, $1,000, $2,000, $3,000, $4,000, $5,000, $6,000, $8,000, $10,000, and $11,731.

Haney's fight with Lomachenko had ticket prices ranging from $66 to $4,275.

Crawford and Spence are said to be set to rake in at least $10 million each from the first edition before pay-per-view and ticket sales.

T-Mobile Arena tickets capacity

The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, where the fight is expected to take place, has a capacity of 20,000 for boxing and MMA events.

Opened in April 2016 at a cost of $375 million, the arena had been scheduled as the setting for Spence's showdown with Manny Pacquiao in August 2021 before Spence withdrew with an eye injury.

Crawford had also been expected to face Jeff Horn at the arena in April 2018 before plans for that fight changed. The bout eventually took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena that June, when Crawford collected the 30th win of his current 39-fight perfect career record.

Spence vs. Crawford tickets sale dates

Tickets are likely to go on sale imminently, if ESPN reporter Mike Coppinger's claim that a deal has been done are correct.

Coppinger said that the fight will be delivered by Ish Hinson, of the Creative Artists Agency advising Crawford, and Spence advisor Al Haymon.
